Carburetor Rebuild
For hard starts, rough idle, bogging or fuel leaks. Mobile carburetor diagnosis and rebuild service across Vancouver and Burnaby.
Service Details
Carburetor problems, properly diagnosed.
For hard starting, unstable idle, fuel leaks and poor throttle response. We diagnose the complaint before removing, cleaning and rebuilding the carburetors.
Common symptoms
When to have the fuel system checked
- Hard starting after storage
- Starts only with choke
- Unstable or hanging idle
- Bogging during throttle opening
- Fuel smell, overflow or leaks
- One cylinder running weak or cold

Quoted after the motorcycle, carburetor count, access and parts requirement are confirmed.
Service process
Diagnose before removal
Confirm the starting, idle, leak or throttle complaint and rule out obvious ignition or compression issues.
Strip, clean and inspect
Remove and disassemble the carburetors, clean the small fuel circuits and inspect jets, floats, needles, seals and diaphragms.
Reassemble and tune
Install approved replacement parts, set a reliable baseline, check for leaks and synchronize the carburetors where applicable.

Why disassembly matters

What the rebuild includes
Access and outside condition are documented before disassembly.
Jets, bowls and small fuel circuits are cleaned directly.
Wear, damage and fuel-resistant rubber parts are checked individually.
Only confirmed parts are replaced after condition and fit are reviewed.
Float settings, fasteners and fuel sealing are rechecked during assembly.
Idle balance and throttle pickup are adjusted when the motorcycle allows it.
Common questions
Does hard starting always mean the carburetors need rebuilding?
No. Weak ignition, low compression, intake leaks and fuel-supply problems can create similar symptoms. The complaint should be diagnosed before a rebuild is approved.
Is spraying carb cleaner into the intake enough?
Usually not when a bike has sat with old fuel. The smallest idle and transition passages are inside the carburetor and may require disassembly and direct cleaning.
What changes the final price?
Carburetor count, motorcycle access, contamination, damaged fasteners and the number of seals, diaphragms or internal parts required all affect the quote.
Can I supply a rebuild kit?
Yes, when the kit is confirmed for the exact year, model and carburetor. Poor-fitting aftermarket parts may be declined because they can create leaks or tuning problems.
