A tender maintains, it does not rescue a dead battery

The job of a tender is to keep the battery near full charge while the bike is parked. If the battery has already fallen too low or lost capacity, a tender may not bring it back.

Storage time is hard on starting systems

Motorcycle batteries dislike sitting unused, especially when temperatures swing. Even a bike stored indoors in Vancouver or Burnaby can lose charge slowly through normal parasitic draw.

Testing still matters before you trust the bike to start

Voltage alone does not tell the whole story. A proper load test can show whether the battery can actually support the starter, fuel pump and electronics under demand.

Charging habits are easier when they are part of the storage routine

A simple routine of cleaning terminals, checking cables and connecting the tender correctly can reduce spring-start surprises. That is often the difference between a quick ride and a no-start diagnosis.
